Hello Kas.
I am a member of the 'In From The Cold Project' and Thomas McCann is up for consideration to be added to the C.W.G.C. if it can be shown that he died from that with which he was discharged. He died from Phthisis which is T.B. In order to nail this down we really need his service number. There are two Thomas McCanns in the Medal Index Cards for the R.I.Fus. Is he 5644 or 10213 please?
Kindest regards.
Tom.

OK we found him, Hampton Street, Balbriggan, 10213 was his number. His records do not state why he was discharged, and what he was discharged with so he cannot go forward until we do. Having said all that if you have his pension documents that says his illness was aggravated by, or caused by service we can go forward.
Kind regards.
Tom.
